Just as it’s important for you to see a dentist regularly, it’s important for dogs and cats as well. When you bring your pet to Del Norte Animal Clinic, we’ll make sure you’re pet leaves happy and healthy.

During a patient’s annual exam, a recommendation may be made for a dental cleaning under anesthesia. As part of this process, preoperative blood will be taken to fully assess your pet’s oral health suggested to ensure that your pet is healthy enough to be anesthetized. During the cleaning process, X-rays will be taken, a full-mouth cleaning and polish is then performed in order to asses your pet’s oral health. Any necessary extractions will also be addressed at that time. Antibiotics and/or pain medication may be prescribed at the end of the visit if needed.
